Audio-Visual Services Assistant

Summary
Assist faculty, staff and students at the audio-visual (AV) desk in the library; assist in the classrooms with computer technology and media. Duties include set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting a wide range of media presentation and classroom technologies. This is a full-time, 12 month position, reporting to the Audio-Visual Services Manager. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Assist at the AV desk, shelving materials, and assisting patrons. Receive orders for AV equipment and work with faculty and staff to determine equipment needs. Assist with delivery and setup of AV equipment. Train/assist faculty in troubleshooting AV equipment and basic software support. Assist AV Services Manager with shooting and editing of video for assignments, events, lectures, and promotions throughout the college.
Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent education and at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in higher education. Knowledge of library and media/AV systems preferred. Proficient technical skills, including working knowledge of MS Office products. Ability to move and lift various types of AV equipment. Ability to multi-task and work in an inclusive community preferred. Ideal candidates are detail oriented, have excellent customer service and possess strong communication and organization skills.
