Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school’s curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Prepare and deliver engaging biology lessons to students.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and handson activities to enhance students’ understanding of biological concepts.
• Assess and evaluate student performance providing timely feedback and maintaining accurate records of student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate in Biological Science.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.
