Cope family center has been empowering Napa County families to create happy, healthy lives for children through parent education, drop-in support, and advocacy efforts since 1972. In response to a staggering increase in reported local child abuse over the last few years, our nonprofit organization is continually expanding and refining its programs and strengthening its resources to sustain the growth. Our mission is to empower parents, nurture children and strengthen communities. We provide parents with the education, resources and support they need to raise children who thrive.

Do you enjoy connecting with the community and advocating for services and people in order to create change?
Cope Family Center is looking for a dedicated, hard-working Community Engagement Coordinator to join the Development team!
About the Position:
The Community Engagement Coordinator’s (CEC) role is to engage Cope Family Center’s stakeholders – our clients, staff, volunteers, donors and partners, as well as the broader community – in the mission of the organization. This person acts as a communications liaison among the various stakeholders while developing and maintaining relationships with them. The CEC will represent the organization at community events, presentations and other communication opportunities and provide general marketing and fundraising support. Another key responsibility for this role is to recruit, train and coordinate Cope’s volunteer force.
The CEC must have a special combination of skills: First, as a key communicator and relationship builder for Cope, they must exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to convey a profound understanding of our work that inspires others to get involved. Second, as the volunteer coordinator, they must have excellent organizational skills, and build a deep understanding of the needs of the organization and how to match them with individual volunteer skills. Our CEC will thrive working in a team of mission-driven, high-achieving, and deeply-caring professionals.
