SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity specialist to support to Air Force program out of Orlando, Fl.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs Strategic Planning Management and Digital Forensics from the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework. This work is typically categorized as specialized cybersecurity functions, including red-teaming and ethical hacking; cloud security architecture; digital forensics; reverse engineering of malware; enterprise cyber architecture; consultative; and other high-level, specialized, and other advanced, specialized, and/or highly-independent functions not typically covered in other job sub-families. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection (including SLA authorship, development, assessment), implements application and data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient and simple solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity and security requirements. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy. Utilizes COTS/GOTS and custom tools in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions of physical security and cybersecurity systems, processes, policies, etc. Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations. Writes reports specifying in technical detail how assessments were performed and what mitigating and remediating activities were performed. Translates and/or authors technical documentation in a way which is easily understood, in layman's terms, the work being performed and the outcome of the work being performed. This job sub-family is intended to encapsulate very specialized and advanced cybersecurity work. SCOPE: N/A LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by supervisor/lead to measure meeting objectives. Directs established guidelines, procedures and policies. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under general direction on routine work. May receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. IMPACT: Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in allocation of additional resources. LIASON: Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational andoutside customer contacts on routine matters.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
• The team lead will be an IAM-3 DOD 8570 certified expert to assist with the assessment
process and to provide record data into enterprise Mission Assurance Support System
(eMASS).
• 5 years minimum experience in the fields of Software Development.
• Computer Programing and/or Malware Analyst experience.
• Software Security Analyst experience.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
• Experience with static code analysis tools like Fortify and Coverity.
• Experience with network monitoring tools like Wireshark and TCPDUMP.
• Experience analyzing vulnerabilities.
