Position Overview:
We are excited to welcome a motivated and self-starting individual to join our team as an Education and Library Sales Consultant, serving Central and Southern Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering relationships with both existing and new customers, showcasing our products through onsite presentations, and driving sales within your designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to implement effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets within your territory.
Identify potential clients, schedule appointments, and conduct qualifying sales calls to expand our customer base.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers in your assigned region.
Travel within your territory to meet with customers, deliver presentations, and close sales.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively present and sell to customers.
Participate in local and state trade shows to promote our offerings.
This is an Independent Contractor position.
About You:
We are looking for someone who can relate well to customers in the education and public library sectors, including Librarians, Curriculum Coordinators, Title I Coordinators, Principals, Reading Program Directors, and Teachers. The ideal candidate will have:
A proven track record of success in acquiring and retaining new accounts.
Excellent communication skills, both in speaking and active listening.
A self-motivated and goal-driven mindset.
The ability to prospect and cold call effectively.
Basic computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel).
Reliable transportation for travel within your territory.
The ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
A college degree is preferred, and former librarians, educators, and teachers are encouraged to apply.
