Landscape Designer

New Holland, PA

• Highlight your creativity and artistry in designing aesthetically pleasing & functional outdoor spaces
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand the client's landscaping needs and wants
• Create a detailed landscape design using Structure Studios or other 3D design software
• Provide accurate designs, including proper grading plans, layout, material choices, and construction methods
• Select suitable plants, trees, and materials for each project
• Prepare project estimates and proposals
• Share 3D designs and construction documents with the customer and the team
• Participate in team meetings
• Work 7 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility in the winter
• Join a well-established, family-owned & operated landscape design team that supports local charities and nonprofits

Millstream Landscapes, a small, family-owned & operated business, has specialized in creating hardscapes & landscapes in Lancaster and Chester counties since 2009. We focus on providing quality craftsmanship for patios, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, walkways, and more. We are seeking a Landscape Designer to join our team. We desire a candidate with experience in 3D design or a college degree in landscape architecture or related fields with knowledge of plants, materials, and construction techniques. Our team is known for its collaborative and supportive culture, and we are proud to support local charities and nonprofits.

Our Ideal Landscape Designer:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in 3D design or a college degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
• Knowledgeable: Must know hardscaping materials such as interlocking pavers, block walls, dry-laid natural stone, and low-voltage lighting. Knowledge of plant materials & horticultural practices is a definite plus.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in Structure Studios or similar 3D design software like Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
• Communication Skills: Able to clearly & effectively communicate with the customer to understand and repeat their needs accurately.
• Ideal Team Player: Humble. Driven. Great Interpersonal Skills. Strong desire to learn.
• Creative: Ability to generate innovative and aesthetically pleasing design ideas.
• Detailed & Thorough: Someone who cares about the smallest detail and ensures all design aspects are meticulously planned and accurate.
• Adaptable & Problem-solver: Ability to address potential issues in the design & construction and adjust plans as needed.
• Integrity: Someone who upholds a high standard of honesty & professionalism in all tasks and interactions.
