Job Description

A Legal Assistant has a wide range of responsibilities at a law firm. Tasks include both interpersonal responsibilities and administrative duties. 

A well-rounded, organized individual with a good work ethic is most likely to succeed in this role. Responsibilities includes but are not limited to: 

  • Filing case documents in an organized manner for easy access. 
  • Updating and creating forms in Docketwise when required. 
  • Facilitating leads process. 
  • Drafting legal documents, including letters, inquiries, and email correspondence when requested. 
  • Preparing and assembling documents for attorney’s use in court. 
  • Managing office supplies and ordering replacements when required. 
  • Schedule meetings and manage calendars 
  • Take accurate and comprehensive notes at meetings 
  • Help with daily time management  
  • Communicating with potential clients or other attorney’s offices via email, phone, or in person. 
  • Takes accountability for quality results and for treating others professionally and respectfully. 
  • Productive communication that fosters teamwork and collaboration. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Run errands as requested—jail, USCIS, Court. 
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients.

Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Ability to commute 
  • At least one year of experience
  • Immigration experience (preferred)
  • Own a drivers license and car
