About this opportunity

Align is seeking a  Senior Video Editor Contractor with agency experience to join our in-house creative team at the Align Headquarters in Morrisville. In this role, you’ll handle a diverse range of editing projects, including documentary-style testimonials, marketing sizzle videos, tradeshow videos, and content for web and social media. You’ll collaborate closely with our in-house multimedia producer and creative director, working on projects spanning the Americas and Europe.

In this role, you will…

• Seamlessly edit together raw footage, adhering to scripts storyboards, outlines and creative direction.
• Enhance videos with sound effects, graphics, and music.
• Optimize lighting, color grading, and overall visual quality.
• Deliver a polish final video, ready for distribution
• Work with stakeholders on edit requests.
• Manage your workload, and project requests within Asana.

In this role, you’ll need …

• Mastery of Premiere, After Effects, Audition
• Experience with agency-level editing for large scale brands. 
• A professional demo reel and breakdown sheet that demonstrate your video editing and storytelling skills
• 5+ years of video editing experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in digital media, film production, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in visual storytelling
• Comprehensive knowledge of different types of footage and color spaces
• Proficiency in color correction and color grading, including the use of technical LUTs
• Understanding of standard editing and delivery resolutions, framerates, aspect ratios, and codecs
• Skills in animating graphics and text using Adobe After Effects
• Proficiency in enhancing and reducing noise in audio using Adobe Audition
• Skills in working with images/vectors using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• A willingness to come into the office 3-4 days per week, and the ability to work onset when needed. 
• Openness to constructive criticism and feedback
• Attention to detail and good organization skills for video project files
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to learn quickly.
