STEEL DETAILER:

GPAC is partnered with a well-established family owned and operated steel Manufacturing company to hire an experienced Steel Detailer to help take on the increasing work load. Our client company manufactures and installs structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental metal for the commercial and industrial construction industry. They can also meet any custom fabrication jobs, with ferrous and non ferrous metals, sheet metal fabrication for Mechanical/HVAC needs.

Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire a motivated talented steel detailer with strong computer skills and experience with Structural and Miscellaneous metals. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for creating structural steel drawings for our fabrication shop and erection crews. Looking for someone who wants to grow with the company as there will be room for advancement.

This detailing role is Salaried position with all the benefits that come from a full time Salary Role.

Steel Detailing Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Detail shop fabrication drawings for structural beams, columns, stairs, handrails, and trusses.
Generating a bill of materials for shop drawings
Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication
Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings
Review RFI's
Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction
BIM modeling

Preferred Qualifications Experience

* AutoCAD, SDS/2, BIM modeling software
* Proficient in Word, Excel, Bluebeam. FabSuite / Tekla EPM (estimating/production software for structural steel fabricators)
Background in steel construction
