The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and ensuring the security of the organization's information systems. This role includes managing IT staff, and leading initiatives to enhance the efficiency, security, and performance of IT operations. The IT Manager / ISSE will also serve as the Information System Security Engineer.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Serve as the single point of contact to plan, initiate and manage information technology (IT) project.
• Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
• Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
• In-depth knowledge of SOW/PWS tasks for NAVWAR, DON, DOD procedures, processes, system and organizations.
• Develop and implement plans, policies, and practices for the management and administration of a contract that provides hardware and software engineering services and database administration.
• Gather data, identify issues, provide recommendations, and prepare documentation to achieve overall goals for system implementation strategic planning.
• Recommend courses of action to transition and sunset plans for individual systems.
• Prepare and update program documentation in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, to include coordinating and performing required updates at or before the required due dates.
• Provide configuration and data management of documentation.
• Provide change management support.
• Performs other related work as assigned.

Mandatory:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology (IT) or IT related field and ten (10) years of professional experience. Or
  • Substitution of a bachelor’s degree in business or information technology or IT related field and six (6) years of additional relevant work experience. Or
  • Substitution of an associate degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant working experience.
• Requires Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification as outlined by DOD 8570
• Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and background check.
• Current active SECRET clearance and/or base access to a government facility is required.
