Job Title: Full-Time Video Editor

We are seeking a creative Full-Time Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw video footage into engaging and high-quality content for our YouTube channels and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of storytelling, proficiency in video editing software, and knowledge of YouTube SEO, thumbnails, descriptions, and titles.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos, including cutting, trimming, and sequencing clips, adding transitions, effects, and music to enhance the final product using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects or professional editing software.

YouTube Optimization: Understand and apply YouTube SEO best practices, including keyword research for titles, tags, and descriptions to maximize video visibility and engagement.

Thumbnail Creation: Design eye-catching and effective thumbnails that attract viewers and encourage clicks.

Content Creation: Collaborate with content creators to understand the vision for each video and ensure that the final product aligns with the desired narrative and style.

Graphics and Effects: Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video quality and viewer engagement using Adobe After Effects.

Audio Editing and Sound Mixing: Adjust and edit audio tracks, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to ensure clear and balanced audio throughout the video.

Color Grading: Apply color grading techniques to enhance the visual appeal and consistency of video content.

Storytelling: Craft compelling stories through video editing, ensuring a logical flow and engaging narrative structure.

Transitions and Effects: Utilize transitions and effects to enhance video flow and maintain viewer interest.

Quality Control: Review and proofread video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. Make necessary adjustments based on feedback from the team.

File Management: Organize and manage video files and assets, ensuring they are properly archived and easily accessible for future use.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including producers, directors, and content creators, to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality videos.

Stay Updated: Keep up to date with industry trends, tools, and techniques in video editing to continuously improve skills and bring fresh ideas to the table.

Content Formats: Ability to edit both long-form and short-form content in multiple formats, including vlog style, long-form educational content, interviews, and more.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of previous work.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, Davinci, and or Final Cut Pro

Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, including keyword research and optimization techniques.

Experience in creating effective and engaging YouTube thumbnails.

Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and best practices for online content.

Creative mindset with excellent storytelling skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Understanding of color grading and sound mixing techniques.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with motion graphics and animation.

Basic understanding of camera operation and video production processes.

Familiarity with YouTube and social media platforms' video specifications and requirements.
